Most frequent dryer problems
Dryer won’t heat
The problem might be a blown temperature fuse, a malfunctioning heating element, or a broken control unit. An ignitor or gas valve coils in a gas dryer can be faulty, as well. If an electric dryer doesn’t heat, we recommend checking the two-phase power supply of 240V in a power outlet. By using a multiple-purpose meter we can identify a faulty element and replace it.
Dryer makes way too much noise
The source of the problem is usually worn out dryer drum rollers. If the unit is making a high-pitch whistling sound, the issue may be a belt or tension roller. With BOSCH dryers, a loud banging noise may result from a worn belt. We identify what’s causing the noise and replace any faulty parts with new ones.
Dryer vibrates violently
This type of problem often occurs in Samsung and Bosch dryers. The increase in vibration is usually caused by lint or a foreign object stuck on a blade of an air turbine (blower wheel). This could also be due to a malfunctioning motor or an air-turbine blade that has broken off. We can replace an air-driven turbine (if there is mechanical damage) and clean lint deposits.
Dryer drum won’t spin
The problem may be related to a torn belt, broken tension roller, or malfunctioning motor. Less often, the problem might be due to a faulty control unit. We will visually examine the belt drive, inspect the electric circuit, and replace any malfunctioning parts.
Dryer drum won’t stop spinning
These types of problems are often found in Samsung and LG dryers. Usually, the root cause is a defective control unit. It may be necessary to check the motor electric control circuit and replace the control unit of the dryer.
